Nikita Devereaux
President / CEO
Nikita Devereaux founded Simply Virtual in 1997 and has since served as President and CEO of the company. Under her leadership, Simply Virtual has grown into one of the industry's leading and most respected virtual assistance firms.
Nikita has over 15 years of experience supporting executives at powerhouses such as Ford Motor Company, Prudential Insurance and AOL Time-Warner. She studied Business Management at Wayne State University in Detroit and has earned Real Estate Professional Assistant (REPA) designation from the National Association of Realtors®.
Ms. Devereaux is an avid writer with published works in national media like Female Entrepreneur Texas, IVAACast and Work-the-Web.com. She promotes the virtues of entrepreneurship through involvement with Junior Achievement and various speaking engagements around the country.
In her spare time, Nikita enjoys reading, cooking and biking with her family.
If you were a parachute, what color would you be?
Yellow, for all it's warmth and energy.
What one movie could you watch over and over and over?
A Beautiful Mind. I love the love story of a woman who stands by her man through thick and thin.
Early bird or nite owl?
Nite owl. With three teen boys, it's the only quiet space I have for creative projects. Don't worry though, I still get the worm!

What do you do when you're not working?
Read, play board games with the boys and mostly anything outdoors.
Who do people say you look like?
Oh, I get it all. I've been told I look like Janet Jackson and Gabrielle Union, but mostly it's, "I think I know you from somewhere . . ." I guess I have one of THOSE faces.
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Err, um. Last count, over a hundred. I buy a new pair almost every week.
E-mail, instant messenger or phone?
For business? Definitely, e-mail. I kinda zone out on conference calls after about 90 minutes.
